Core Build-ups

A core build-up is used whenever we have teeth severely affected by tissue loss and the remaining healthy part is insufficient to ensure their basic structural stability. Replacing the missing tooth structure through a core build-up will give us enough retention and support for safely placing a crown. The shape of the build-up will be idealized as much as possible, so that a more conservative preparation is allowed.

Inlay / Onlay

Inlays, onlays and overlays are used to restore cavities that are too large and cannot be repaired through simple esthetic fillings, but can be resolved without placing a dental crown. The necessary preparation is somewhere between the two, so when the size of the cavity permits it, we will choose the more conservative solution, in order to preserve as much natural tooth structure as possible.

Root Canals

A root canal treatment is indicated when the dental pulp is affected by various diseases or injuries. The pulp contains blood vessels and nerves, so infection and / or inflammation will usually cause extreme pain. If not properly treated in time, the infection will spread to the neighboring tissue, contaminating the bone around the root, causing bone defects and in some cases, even tooth loss. Inversely, the sooner the root canal treatment is done, the greater the chance to keep the tooth on the arch.

Dental Anesthesia

Many of us have anxiety when undergoing medical procedures and dental treatments are especially associated with feelings of discomfort and fear. We are programmed to evade feeling pain, so sometimes a bad experience from our past can (sadly) make us postpone or even avoid dental visits. Unfortunately, this will have a greater negative impact on our dental and general health on the long run. In our times, however we are very lucky to have many means to alleviate or even eliminate pain during dental interventions at our disposal.
